Premium Liiga leaders Levadia Tallinn restored their winning ways with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Harju JK Laagri, scoring the decisive goal just six minutes from time after the hosts had battled back to level the match.

Levadia started brightly on the rain-soaked pitch in Laagri and created several early opportunities. Frank Liivak and Enock Otoo both threatened before Mihkel Ainsalu finally broke the deadlock in the 19th minute. Following a short corner routine, Ainsalu curled a precise effort beyond Jan Vainula to give the visitors a deserved lead.

Despite spending much of the first half under pressure, Harju responded with their first meaningful attack in the 39th minute. Eerme carried the ball forward on a quick counter before slipping a pass into the path of Abdul Binate, and the Canadian calmly slotted a low finish into the corner to make it 1-1.

Levadia continued to dominate after the break and thought they had regained the lead midway through the second half when Maksim Skvortsov fired into the roof of the net, only for VAR to rule the goal out for offside in the build-up.

The visitors kept pushing and were rewarded in the 84th minute. Nikoloz Kutateladze, making his Premium Liiga debut, saw his initial effort saved by Vainula, but captain Rasmus Peetson reacted quickest to the loose ball and bundled home the winner from close range.

Harju nearly snatched a dramatic equaliser in stoppage time. Goalkeeper Vainula joined the attack for a late free-kick and subsequent corner, creating chaos inside the Levadia penalty area, but the home side could not force the ball over the line.

Levadia ultimately held on for a narrow but valuable 2-1 victory to maintain their position at the top of the Premium Liiga standings with a nine point lead over the second place Kalju.
