FC RFS scored a last-minute goal by Darko Lemajic, spoiling what could have been a career performance for FS Jelgava’s goalkeeper, Adam Dvorak.** In their first league match, FC RFS secured a tough 2-1 victory against FK Auda, while FS Jelgava did not achieve a win in Liepāja, settling for a 1-1 draw against FK Grobiņa. The defending champions RFS were favored to win, especially considering they had beaten Jelgava four times in the previous season, including home victories with scores of 5-1 and 7-0.
