The Latvia U-19 national team have discovered their opponents for next year’s UEFA U-19 European Championship Elite Round, which will be played at the end of March.

Viktors Dobrecovs’ side secured qualification for the Elite Round last month with a crucial victory over Lithuania U-19, earning a place at this stage of the competition for the fourth consecutive time. Today, in Nyon, Latvia were officially drawn into their group.

Latvia U-19 will face Czechia, Denmark, and Belgium in the Elite Round group. The host nation will be Czechia and the matches will take place in late March.

Only the group winner will advance to the UEFA U-19 European Championship finals, where eight teams will compete for the continental title. The final tournament will be held in Wales next summer, and is open to players born in 2007 or later.
