Latvian U-21 national team defender Daniels Nosegbe-Suško has left Lithuanian side FC Džiugas Telšiai and signed a contract with Georgian second division club FC Samtredia.

The 20-year-old center-back was officially unveiled today as the latest addition to the Georgian club. Nosegbe-Suško began the current season in Lithuania’s top tier, the A Lyga, where he quickly established himself as a key starter for Džiugas Telšiai, making 18 appearances out of a possible 19 matches.

A product of the former Skonto Academy and Riga FC youth system, Nosegbe-Suško made headlines in 2022 when he signed with Italian giants Napoli, with the Serie A club reportedly paying €125,000 for his services. During his two seasons in Napoli’s youth setup, he also featured in the UEFA Youth League. In 2024, the defender returned to Latvia, joining second-tier club AFA Olaine and playing a crucial role in helping the team maintain its place in the Nākotnes Līga (Latvian First League). In January, he moved to Lithuania — and now, his journey continues in Georgia.

FC Samtredia, who were relegated from the Georgian top division last season, are currently competing in the second tier, where their campaign has gotten off to a disappointing start. Initially considered one of the favorites for promotion, the team finds itself in ninth place out of ten clubs, trailing eighth-place Locomotive Tbilisi by five points. Samtredia notably claimed their first-ever Georgian league title in 2016.

Nosegbe-Suško is also a current member of Latvia’s U-21 national team, having made two appearances at the international level.
