20-year-old Latvian goalkeeper Klāvs Lauva has signed with Lithuanian A Lyga side DFK Dainava Alytus.

Lauva joins from Valmiera FC, where he was part of the team that won the Latvian Virslīga title in 2022. During his time there, he made 11 appearances in the Latvian top flight.

Originally from the Liepāja football school system, Lauva also spent a season with FS Jelgava before joining Valmiera.

Dainava Alytus are struggling this season — they are last in the A Lyga standings with just two points from 11 games. The club will be hoping that Lauva can strengthen their defense and help turn things around in the coming weeks.
