The draw for the 2026 UEFA Futsal EURO final tournament will be held today at 12:00 local time at the Žalgiris Arena in Kaunas, Lithuania, where two of the three host nations – Latvia and Lithuania – will discover their group-stage opponents for their debut appearance at the competition.
The final tournament will take place from 21 January to 7 February 2026, with matches hosted in Rīga (Latvia), Kaunas (Lithuania), and Ljubljana (Slovenia). Both Latvia and Lithuania will host one group-stage group and one quarter-final match, while Slovenia’s capital will stage the remaining two groups, two quarter-finals, and all decisive final-round matches.
Originally, Latvia and Lithuania were set to be the sole hosts of the tournament. However, due to logistical complications following Belarus’ unexpected qualification, UEFA decided to add Slovenia as a third host nation.
A total of 16 national teams will participate in the final tournament. Three of them will make their debut appearances – the host nations Latvia and Lithuania, along with Armenia. Latvia and Lithuania are seeded in Pot 4, alongside Belgium and Hungary.
From Pot 1, the Baltic hosts could be drawn against some of Europe’s futsal powerhouses – Portugal, the two-time European and 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup champions who just a few days ago played two friendly matches against Latvia in Riga; Spain, the seven-time European champions; Ukraine, the recent World Cup bronze medalists who a month ago were hosted by Lithuania for two friendlies; or France, who will appear in their second-ever EURO final tournament and in the last FIFA Futsal World Cup finished in the 4th place.
Due to national restrictions, Latvia, Lithuania, and Ukraine cannot be drawn in the same group as Belarus. As a result, Ukraine will automatically be placed in one of the Baltic-hosted groups.
Potential opponents from Pot 2 include Croatia, Czechia, the two-time European champions Italy and Slovenia. As hosts, Slovenia cannot be drawn in the same group as either Latvia or Lithuania.
In Pot 3, possible opponents are Poland, competing in their fourth EURO final tournament, Georgia, who reached their second, and debutants Armenia.
Ticket sales for the 2026 UEFA Futsal EURO will start next Monday. Latvia’s national team will play its group-stage matches at the Xiaomi Arena in Rīga on 21, 25, and 28 January, with the quarter-final set for 1 February. Meanwhile, Lithuania will host its group-stage games at the Žalgiris Arena in Kaunas on 22, 25, and 28 January, with their quarter-final also scheduled for 1 February.
