The Lithuanian Football Federation confirmed a late adjustment to Edgaras Jankauskas’ squad ahead of the upcoming international fixtures, following an injury setback during domestic league action.
Midfielder Paulius Golubickas was forced off at half-time during today’s Toplyga clash between FC Hegelmann and FK Žalgiris Vilnius after picking up an injury. While the full extent of the issue remains unclear, it has already been confirmed that the 26-year-old will miss Lithuania’s upcoming friendly matches against Moldova on March 26 and Georgia on March 29.
In response, forward Meinardas Mikulėnas has received his first senior call-up. The FK Riteriai striker now has the opportunity to make his international debut.
The 23-year-old has made a solid start to the current Toplyga season, registering two goals in five appearances. He is coming off a breakthrough 2025 campaign in which he scored nine goals and provided four assists across 34 league matches, form that has earned him a chance on the international stage.
