On Sunday, in the Polish Ekstraklasa, Marten Kuusk played the entire match for GKS Katowice as they secured a goalless draw against Piast Gliwice.

The 28-year-old center-back was once again part of a trio of center-backs, alongside his usual partners Arkadiusz Jedrych and Alan Czerwinski.

GKS Katowice came into this match on a two-game winning streak, having defeated Stal Mielec in their first game after the winter break and causing an upset the previous week by beating one of the league leaders, Rakow, 2-1 away from home.

Their opponents, Piast Gliwice, were just one point behind GKS Katowice in the standings after 21 games.

The first half of the match saw both teams fail to create any significant scoring opportunities. However, Piast Gliwice dominated most of the second half, generating several dangerous chances, but they could not find the finishing touch.

As the game neared its conclusion, GKS Katowice nearly scored a late winner. Following a nice combination play, Borja Galan found himself in a promising position, but he did not get enough power on his shot, which was comfortably saved by the opposing goalkeeper.

In the dying seconds of the match, Katowice fans held their breath as Erik Jirka unleashed a long-range shot headed for the top corner, but it was brilliantly saved by Dawid Kudla, preserving the point for Katowice.
