Latvian forward Raimonds Krollis continued his fine form in the Czech First League, scoring for the second consecutive match as Slovan Liberec recorded a dominant 6-0 victory over MFK Karviná.
The 24-year-old striker, who was a surprise omission from Latvia’s November national team squad, started for the second game in a row. After netting a goal and providing an assist in last week’s 3-0 win over Slovácko, Krollis once again made an early impact on Saturday.
He opened the scoring in the 9th minute, heading the ball into the net to give Liberec the lead and register his third goal of the season. Karviná’s hopes collapsed soon after when a red card left them with ten men, allowing Liberec to add three more goals before halftime to make it 4-0.
Krollis was substituted in the 59th minute with his team comfortably ahead, and Liberec went on to score two more times to seal their biggest win of the season.
The result lifts Slovan Liberec to sixth place in the league table. After the international break, they will return to action on November 22, away against FK Pardubice.
