Latvian international Kristaps Grabovskis continued his run of form in Denmark’s second tier, recording an assist for B.93 in their 1-3 home defeat to Aarhus Fremad.
The 20-year-old forward made his third consecutive start and began brightly, coming close to scoring in the 5th minute with a volley that just cleared the crossbar. Grabovskis remained heavily involved, taking three shots inside the opening 25 minutes before making his mark in the 28th. Breaking on the counter, he collected a pass in the box, controlled under pressure, and set up Swedish striker Carl Björk, who tapped into an empty net for 1-0. It was Grabovskis’s second assist of the season.
The lead, however, was short-lived. Just four minutes later Magnus Kirchheiner equalized for the visitors with his first goal of the campaign. In the second half, Aarhus Fremad seized control, scoring twice in ten minutes to turn the match around. Grabovskis was substituted in the 72nd minute with the score already at 1-3, and B.93 failed to respond.
The defeat extends B.93’s winless home run to four games this season, all ending in losses. In contrast, the club has been strong on the road, collecting 11 points in five away fixtures – the second-best away record in the division.
Grabovskis, now with eight league appearances, has two assists but is still chasing his first goal in B.93 colors. His side sit 7th in the table with 11 points from nine matches. Next up is a tough trip to Aalborg next Sunday.
