Kauno Žalgiris signed off their winter training camp in Turkey with a 2-1 friendly victory over Moldova’s Zimbru Chișinău.
The Lithuanian champions led 1-0 at half-time before adding a second after the break, with Zimbru pulling a goal back to set up a tense finish. Amine Benchaib did not take part due to a minor injury while Tomas Švedkauskas returned to the field for this last friendly.
The match capped an encouraging end to the Antalya programme for Eivinas Černiauskas’ side as they continue preparations for the new domestic campaign.
