Irish media reports indicate that Shamrock Rovers FC will not continue their cooperation with Estonian national team player Markus Poom.

The 25-year-old player spent the last two seasons on loan at Shamrock Rovers from FC Flora Tallinn. According to Daniel McDonnell of the Irish Independent, Poom will not return to the Tallaght Stadium, as Shamrock Rovers did not pursue a permanent move for the Estonian international.

During his two seasons with Shamrock Rovers, Markus made 70 appearances, scoring six goals and providing 11 assists. He also helped the team win the League of Ireland in the 2023 season. Poom’s last game and last goal for Shamrock Rovers will be special as it was against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Europa Conference League phase last matchday.
