According to our sources, Lithuanian international midfielder Paulius Golubickas suffered a broken collarbone during the 2026 World Cup Qualifier against Malta, dealing a major blow to both country and club. The injury occurred during the second half of the goalless draw and forced the 25-year-old to leave the pitch early.
Golubickas, who joined Polish Ekstraklasa side Radomiak Radom from FK Žalgiris in January, has made nine appearances for the club at the end of last season, registering one assist. Radomiak Radom finished 12th.
With new season in Poland kicking off in July, Radomiak Radom have an intensive pre-season planned, with a range of friendlies scheduled for early July against both domestic and international opponents, including Omonia Nicosia from Cyprus.
The severity of the injury and the timeline for his return have yet to be confirmed by Radomiak or the Lithuanian Football Federation but the average recovery time from this type of injury tends to be around 15 weeks.
