In an unexpected development ahead of the 12th round of the TOPsport A Lyga, only four matches will be played instead of the usual five.
The Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF) has approved FA Šiauliai’s request to postpone their upcoming clash against Gargždai’s Banga due to an outbreak of infection within the team. The match was originally scheduled for May 18 at 4:00 PM, to be held at the Šiauliai City Municipality Stadium.
The infection has also affected FA Šiauliai’s reserve squad, leading to the postponement of their “TOPsport Pirma lyga” fixture against Panevėžys B, which was set for May 16.
New dates and times for both matches will be announced in a separate statement by the federation.
