# Henrik Ojamaa to retire after final match for Paide
Paide winger Henrik Ojamaa will end his professional career after Saturday’s Premium liiga match against Flora, bringing nearly 20 years in the game to a close. The 35-year-old, who won 63 caps for Estonia, will play his final match at Paide’s home ground on 7 November, the last day of the league season.

Ojamaa began his international club career in 2007, joining Derby County’s academy aged 16. He later played in nine other countries, including Scotland, where his performances for Motherwell led to a move to Legia Warsaw. He won the Polish title with Legia in 2014.

After returning to Estonia, Ojamaa helped Flora reach the UEFA Conference League group stage in 2021 and won two league titles with the Tallinn club, in 2022 and 2023. He joined Paide in early 2024, played alongside his brother Hindrek and captained the side. In all competitions, he made 95 appearances for Paide, scoring 10 goals and providing 18 assists. His Premium liiga record for the club was 74 appearances, seven goals and 15 assists.

In a video announcing his decision, Ojamaa said: “_It is time to bring my professional football career to an end. Almost 20 years after my first contract, the time has come when my body says enough has been done. I think now is the right time_.” He thanked his family, clubs, team-mates, coaches, staff and supporters, and invited fans to Saturday’s match. “_It would be lovely if you came to support the team and wave to me one more time,_” he said.

Paide thanked Ojamaa for his contribution and commitment and wished him well for the future.
