**Just ahead of their UEFA Europa Conference League qualifier in Ireland, FC Hegelmann have confirmed the departure of one of their key players — Dutch full-back Jonathan Mulder — who is set to join 1. FC Slovácko of the Czech top flight.**

The 23-year-old defender arrived at Hegelmann earlier this year in what was his first move abroad after developing his game entirely in the Netherlands. A product of the AZ Alkmaar Academy, Mulder previously played for ADO Den Haag, Telstar, and TOP Oss, primarily in the Dutch second division (Eerste Divisie). His move to Lithuania marked a new chapter — and one that proved to be a launching pad for the next step in his career.

At Hegelmann, Mulder quickly settled into the starting XI, becoming an essential part of the squad competing in the TOPsport A Lyga. Over the course of half a season, he made 11 league appearances, contributed one assist, and played a vital role on the left side of defense.

_“We’re proud that our players are catching the eye of clubs in stronger leagues,”_ said Hegelmann sporting director **Giedrius Klevinskas**.
_“This transfer is not only a reflection of Jonathan’s quality, but also a recognition of our club’s development model. We wish him the best of luck in his new challenge.”_

In a personal farewell message, Mulder thanked the club and his teammates: _“Thank you to the team for believing in me and supporting me from day one. I’m grateful to the players and staff for their effort and energy — you’ve made me a better footballer, and more importantly, a better person. I wish the Blue and Whites every success in achieving the goals we set together.”_

Hegelmann on Thursday will take on Irish side St. Patricks Athletics in the UEFA Conference League 1st qualifying round first-leg game.
