Lithuanian A Lyga club FC Hegelmann have announced the signing of Lithuanian winger Andrius Kaulinis, who began the season with FK Riteriai.
The 25-year-old had already made two appearances for Riteriai in the opening rounds of the A Lyga season, playing the full 90 minutes in both matches. However, Hegelmann confirmed today that the player has now joined the Kaunas district club and will continue his career there.
Kaulinis is a product of the Vilnius Vytis academy, where he originally made a name for himself in futsal. He was part of the Lithuanian national team squad that participated in the 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup, which was hosted by Lithuania.
After gradually transitioning only to football, Kaulinis made his professional debut with Riteriai in 2022. Last season he completed his first full campaign in Lithuania’s top division, making 34 league appearances and scoring three goals.
Hegelmann, who finished as A Lyga (now known as Toplyga) runners-up last season, have started the new campaign slowly with one point from their first two matches. They will look to secure their first win of the season tomorrow when they face FK Panevėžys.
