On Sunday Lithuanian national team attacking midfielder Paulius Golubickas made his Polish Ekstraklasa debut coming onto the field in the 75th minute for Radomiak Radom during a heavy 0-5 defeat against the defending champions, Jagiellonia.

The 25-year-old joined Radomiak after two successful seasons with FK Žalgiris. His Radomiak traveled to Bialystok to face Jagiellonia. Paulius started the match on the bench as the Polish Ekstraklasa resumed play following the winter break.

Radomiak faced an abrupt start, watching as their team crumbled under pressure, conceding three goals in the first ten minutes of the match, with Miki Villar, Afimico Pululu, and Jesus Imaz all finding the net. In the 33rd minute, Jagiellonia extended their lead to four goals, with Afimico Pululu scoring his second of the game.

Before the first half concluded, Jesus Imaz added to Radomiak’s misery by scoring the fifth goal for Jagiellonia, marking his second of the match.

With the game already out of reach, Golubickas entered the field in the 75th minute for his debut with Radomiak. During his 16 minutes on the pitch, he made one accurate cross, delivered one key pass, and was fouled once.

After 19 games, Radomiak sits in 12th place in the league table with 20 points. Golubickas and Radomiak’s next match will be on Saturday when they host Slask Wroclaw.
