Premier League side West Ham United have announced the contract extension of 18-year-old center-back Airidas Golambeckis, with the new deal keeping him at the club until the summer of 2029.

Golambeckis, who celebrates his birthday today, was born and raised in East Ham to Lithuanian parents and has spent his entire career in West Ham’s academy system.

Although he most recently represented England at U19 level, Golambeckis remains eligible to play for Lithuania. Before being selected to various English youth national teams he has appeared for the Lithuania U16 national team.

Currently serving as captain of West Ham’s U21 side, Golambeckis has made seven appearances in this season’s Premier League 2 campaign.
