Italian Serie D club SSD Akragas 2018 has announced the signing of Latvian goalkeeper Renārs Minuss.

The 18-year-old is a product of the Jūrmalas SS and Riga FC academies. Last season, he was with the Valmiera FC organization, where he played for the Valmiera FC second team in the Nākotnes Līga and for the Valmiera U19 side in the Elite League.

Renārs made 13 appearances for the Valmiera FC, including three clean sheets. He now joins the Latvian contingent in Italian Serie D.

He is the second goalkeeper from the Valmiera FC organization to move to Serie D in the last six months, following 19-year-old Roberts Apsīts, who has made 12 appearances this season for Gelbison, one of the leading clubs in the league.
