On Sunday in Serie A, Gvidas Gineitis came off the bench in the 79th minute as his team, Torino FC, secured a 2-0 victory away against Monza.
The Lithuanian star made headlines last week by scoring the game-winning goal against AC Milan, and since returning from a minor injury, he has come off the bench in six consecutive matches. In today’s game, Gineitis started on the bench once again.
By the time Gineitis entered the match, Torino was already leading 2-0, thanks to goals from North Macedonian international Elif Elmas and Italian Cesare Casadei.
During his time on the field, Gineitis won his only duel, blocked a shot, and completed two out of three passes accurately. This marked his 20th appearance in Serie A this season.
With this win, Torino remains in 11th place in the league with 34 points. Their next Serie A game is scheduled for Saturday when they will play an away match against Parma.
