Last season’s top scorer for FK Auda, Kemehlo Nguena, will continue his career in Kosovo after signing with reigning champions FC Drita.

The 25-year-old French central midfielder spent three seasons in Latvia, initially playing two campaigns with Riga FC before joining Auda for the most recent season. During the 2024 campaign, Nguena was one of the standout performers in the squad, scoring 11 goals and providing six assists in 37 appearances across all competitions, finishing as Auda’s most productive player.

Nguena also added another trophy to his collection last season, lifting the Latvian Cup with Auda. It marked his second consecutive Latvian Cup triumph, having won the competition the year before with Riga FC. Across his time in the Virslīga, Nguena made 87 league appearances, scoring 24 goals and registering 10 assists.

Nguena has now signed an 18-month contract with FC Drita, who are the defending champions of the Kosovo Superleague and currently sit third in the league table. The move also gives the midfielder an immediate opportunity on the European stage, as Drita have reached the UEFA Conference League knockout phase for the first time in the club’s history.

In ten days’ time, Drita will host NK Celje in the first leg of the play-off round, with a place in the last 16 of the UEFA Conference League at stake.
