# Flora drops points, Levadia crowned the Premium Liiga champions
**Tallinn FCI Levadia have been crowned Estonian Premium Liiga champions for the 12th time in club history after FC Kuressaare produced a stunning 2-0 home victory over FC Flora. Goals from Švedovski and Jürisoo secured a second consecutive win over Flora, mathematically confirming Levadia’s title triumph just hours after their dramatic 1-0 victory against Paide Linnameeskond.**

Levadia entered Sunday’s fixtures knowing that victory over Paide, combined with Flora dropping points against Kuressaare, would be enough to secure the championship. Vjatšeslav Zahovaiko’s side fulfilled their part of the equation earlier in the afternoon, with substitute Geovani scoring an 89th-minute winner at A. Le Coq Arena.

That result left Flora needing all three points from their trip to Kuressaare to keep their mathematical title hopes alive. However, the visitors faced opponents fighting to secure their Premium Liiga survival, with Kuressaare looking to strengthen their position above the relegation play-off places.

Flora controlled possession during the opening stages but struggled to create clear-cut opportunities. Sander Alamaa registered the first attempt of the match in the sixth minute, sending a long-range effort well over the crossbar.

Kuressaare, meanwhile, defended with discipline and looked to exploit opportunities on the counterattack. Flora’s attacking play remained largely ineffective, with Alamaa sending another effort wide in the 23rd minute as the visitors struggled to turn their possession into meaningful chances.

The hosts eventually broke the deadlock in spectacular fashion. Following a long throw-in from Saare, Flora cleared the ball out of their penalty area, but Švedovski reacted quickest and unleashed a powerful first-time strike from approximately 20 metres into the upper corner, leaving the goalkeeper with little chance.

Kuressaare continued to threaten and came close to doubling their advantage when Vahermägi met Andrease’s free-kick delivery and directed the ball against the woodwork.

Moments later, the hosts found their second goal. Andreas picked out Jürisoo inside the penalty area, where the attacker created space onto his left foot before finishing into the net to give Kuressaare a remarkable 2-0 advantage shortly before half-time.

Flora made a change at the interval, introducing Teeväli in place of Matvei Jekimov, but their struggles continued after the restart. Alamaa tested goalkeeper Nõmm with a low effort from outside the penalty area, although the shot lacked the power to seriously trouble him.

With time running out, Flora introduced Tony Varjund and Erik Sorga in the 54th minute, followed by Rauno Alliku shortly after the hour mark. However, the substitutions failed to produce the attacking improvement the visitors desperately needed.

Kuressaare remained dangerous on the break and nearly added a third when Jürisoo released Demidov, whose effort was pushed away by Flora goalkeeper Grünvald.

Although Flora gradually pushed their opponents deeper into their own half, they continued to struggle to create clear-cut opportunities. Alamaa sent another long-range attempt straight into Nõmm’s hands, while Varjund failed to hit the target from a promising position inside the penalty area.

At the other end, Kuressaare substitute Rasmus Talu had an opportunity to extend the hosts’ lead, but his effort was blocked by Veering.

Flora’s hopes of mounting a late comeback faded as the final minutes approached. Vladislav Kreida sent a stoppage-time free-kick over the crossbar, and Kuressaare successfully protected their two-goal advantage to secure an impressive 2-0 victory.

The final whistle not only confirmed another memorable result for Kuressaare but also officially ended the Estonian championship race, handing Levadia their 12th national title.
