Flora claimed a 1-0 win over FCI Levadia in a pre-season friendly at the EJL Lilleküla indoor hall.

Levadia enjoyed more of the ball and went close early in both halves, with Bubacarr Tambedou hitting the crossbar shortly after the restart as well. But it was Flora who found the decisive moment late on.

With four minutes left, Oscar Pihela steered home from close range after Sander Alamaa’s corner caused problems in the Levadia box.

Flora head coach Konstantin Vassiljev said the contest had the edge of a derby without crossing the line. “Overall it was a good friendly. You could feel a bit of a derby atmosphere, but everything stayed within the limits and nobody got emotional,” he said. “There were good things and things to improve. All the goals we set were met. Winning is always nice, but you shouldn’t put too much emphasis on it.”
