FK Riteriai earlier today officially announced the signing of Croatian goalkeeper Antonio Tuta, who spent the last two seasons playing in Ireland.

The 29-year-old shot-stopper made his debut for Riteriai today in the A Lyga, in a 0–2 defeat against FA Šiauliai. Despite the result, the match marked a significant milestone in Tuta’s career — it was his first appearance in a top-tier European league.

Throughout his career, Tuta has played in several lower-division clubs across Europe, including in Croatia, Austria, Iceland, Slovenia, and Bulgaria. Most recently, he was the first-choice keeper for Kerry FC in Ireland’s second division, where he featured in 28 matches and kept five clean sheets.

After 20 matches played this season, FK Riteriai currently sit in ninth place — second from the bottom — with 13 points, holding a narrow three-point lead over last-placed DFK Dainava Alytus.
