FK Kauno Žalgiris has announced a new addition to the squad, with right-back Haymenn Bah-Traore set to wear the club’s green and white jersey.
The 27-year-old player is a product of Germany’s Rot-Weiss Essen academy and began his professional career with the Wattenscheid team in Bochum. In 2017, Traore joined the ranks of one of Germany’s most prestigious clubs, becoming a key part of Borussia Dortmund’s second team, where he spent four seasons.
The defender, who holds both German and Togolese citizenship, later started his career abroad, spending the past two years in Finland’s first division. Known for his speed and strength, he played over 50 matches, scored a goal, provided six assists, and made his debut in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers.
The only potential competition for Traore’s position so far seems to be the 19-year-old Lithuanian Tautvydas Burdzilauskas, who also recently joined the club.
