FCI Levadia have completed a long-awaited upgrade at their Maarjamäe sports complex in Tallinn, with a brand-new artificial surface now installed on the club’s main training pitch.
The facility serves as the training hub for Levadia’s first team, academy players and hundreds of young footballers across the capital. The new pitch is intended to raise the standard of both training sessions and competitive matches.
Club officials emphasised the importance of the redevelopment, highlighting the support of the Estonian Football Association in bringing the project to fruition. “Our goal has always been to provide the best possible training and playing conditions not only for our academy players but also for young footballers throughout Estonia. Thanks to the backing of the FA, we are now one step closer to achieving that aim,” Levadia said in a statement.
Work on replacing the old surface had been under way for several weeks before being completed on schedule. The new turf is already open and ready for use, offering improved conditions for players at all levels.
Levadia added their thanks to the Estonian Football Association for its contribution to the project.
