Latvian champions Riga FC are set to make their third signing of the offseason with the arrival of Brazilian attacking player Caio Ferreira, according to information obtained by Baltic Football News.
The 25-year-old Brazilian is currently one of the key players for Romanian top-flight side FC Argeș and is enjoying his second season in European football. Ferreira first made a strong impression in Europe with Moldovan club Bălți, where he scored 15 goals in 26 matches during an outstanding campaign. That form earned him a move in the summer of 2025 to FC Argeș, who had just returned to Romania’s top division.
This season, Ferreira has continued to play an important role for Argeș, recording three goals and three assists in 18 league appearances. At the midway point of the season, FC Argeș sit an impressive fifth in the league table, just six points behind leaders Universitatea Craiova.
According to Baltic Football News, the transfer fee for Ferreira’s move to Riga FC is expected to exceed €500,000.
Riga FC have already confirmed two additions this offseason, with goalkeeper Frenks Dāvids Orols and Tunisian attacking player Raki Aouani joining the squad.
