Esiliiga side FC Elva have announced the signing of striker Kevon Gresford Evans ahead of the new season.
The 22-year-old, from Ossining in New York, arrives after playing university football in the United States. Speaking in a post shared by the club, Evans said his football journey started at the age of eight after being introduced to the game by his father.
“I started playing in my local town’s league and then joined clubs outside the city. I have represented my university at all levels,” he said. Evans added that a standout moment of his career was becoming his university’s all-time top scorer.
Evans could make his first appearance for Elva on 28 February in the club’s final pre-season friendly, against Valmiera FC, who won Latvia’s Virslīga in 2022 and have now been promoted to the second tier, following relegation due to financial issues last year.
