Esiliiga fourth-placed side Elva have bolstered their squad with the signing of experienced full-back and co-host of Estonian Football Podcast Martin Käos, the club announced via social media. Käos has 127 top-flight appearances to his name in the Estonian Premium Liiga.
A product of the Tallinna Levadia youth system, Käos made his top-division debut in 2018 at the age of 19. He joined Narva Trans on loan in 2020 before making the move permanent the following year. In 2023, he signed for Pärnu Vaprus, helping the club to their best-ever league finish — sixth place.
After parting ways with Vaprus at the end of last season, Käos headed abroad to join Italian fifth-tier side Lodigiani Calcio 1972. His stint in Italy lasted half a year, during which he helped the club secure third place in Group B of their division.
Now back in Estonia, Käos will represent Elva until the end of the season. The South Estonian club have collected 38 points from 22 matches — 11 wins, 5 draws, and 6 defeats — sitting fourth in the Esiliiga table behind Tartu Welco (43 points), Viimsi (49), and league leaders Nõmme United (55).
Käos is Elva’s second summer signing following the arrival of goalkeeper Silver Rebane in July. Kaido Koppel’s side will be back in action on Saturday when they host Tallinna Levadia’s reserve team, currently in eighth place. The match will also coincide with Elva’s 25th anniversary celebrations and the club’s traditional Jalkafest event.
