The New Year begins with positive news for Džiugas Telšiai, as the club confirm their first addition of the offseason: young and promising Lithuanian midfielder Denis Ževžikovas.
The 21-year-old spent last season with DFK Dainava, who were relegated from the A Lyga. Despite the team’s struggles, Ževžikovas featured regularly, making 34 league appearances, scoring four goals, and accumulating 2,369 minutes on the pitch.
Ževžikovas has also worn the shirt of Lithuanian champions FK Kauno Žalgiris, and an interesting note in his career is that he made his A Lyga debut in Telšiai. In 2023, seeking more consistent playing time, Denis joined Be1, before later moving to Alytus.
The midfielder has represented Lithuania at various youth national team levels, further underlining his potential and experience at a young age.
Preparations for the new season are already well underway, and more team news will be announced in the near future.
