In the second round of the Premium Liiga, another surprising result occurred as FC Kuressaare defeated JK Narva Trans 2-0 away from home.

Kuressaare, which had lost to Paide Linnameeskond in Matchday 1, started the game strong with an early goal. Sander Sinilaid made an impressive pass from his own half to Evgeni Demidov, who scored against his former team.

A few minutes later, Narva found themselves in further trouble when the referee awarded them a penalty for a foul in the box. However, Marten Pajunurm’s shot was saved by goalkeeper Aleksei Matrossov.

JK Narva Trans attempted to find the equalizer, but towards the end of the first half, Kuressaare capitalized on Narva’s defensive lapse. Artjom Jermatsenko delivered a through ball to a substitute Otto-Robert Lipp, who converted a one-on-one chance to extend Kuressaare’s lead.

With this victory, Kuressaare earned their first win of the season, while JK Narva Trans remains with just one point after two games.

Both teams will play their next matches at home: Narva will host Paide Linnameeskond on Saturday, while Kuressaare will face Harju JK Laagri the following day.
