Estonian international Vlasi Sinjavski is set to join Bohemians on a free transfer after opting not to renew his contract with 1. FC Slovácko, according to iSport.cz.

The 28-year-old, who has been playing in the Czech Republic since 2021, would bring experience and versatility to the Bohemians squad. He initially joined MFK Karviná before transferring to Slovácko after 18 months. Since his arrival in Czech football, Sinjavski has made 108 appearances in the Czech First League, tallying nine goals and five assists.

This past season alone, he featured in 28 matches for Slovácko, contributing 2 goals and 1 assist across 1,790 minutes of play. Despite tensions with club management, he remained a consistent performer on the pitch.

Sinjavski’s departure from Slovácko was no surprise after a public dispute over his preferred role. Slovácko’s sporting director Veliče Šumulikoski laid the situation bare back in January:

“He doesn’t want to negotiate with us because he wants to play left-back, and we don’t think that’s his position,” he told the press. “For me, he’s a winger — but he doesn’t want to play there. We’ve been fighting with him for two years. Now he’s turned down the contract.”

Ironically, Sinjavski went on to feature regularly in the spring — deployed primarily as an offensive winger or wingback.

While Bohemians have never won the Czech championship, they’ve twice finished in fourth place — in 2001/02 and most recently in 2022/23. That latest success earned them a historic spot in the UEFA Europa Conference League, although their European journey ended in disappointment after a 2–7 aggregate defeat to Norway’s Bodø/Glimt in the second qualifying round.

Estonian players have worn the Bohemians green before — most notably Siim Luts, who represented the club from 2016 to 2018. Now, Sinjavski could likely become the next Baltic name to take on the challenge at Ďolíček Stadium.
