BE1 Jonava have strengthened their squad with the arrivals of Ghanaian forward Joshua Awuah Ampofo and South African-Canadian midfielder Kuhle Bekwayo, looking to develop the next breakout prospect.

The club announced that Bekwayo joins from Precision Football Club (Dubai), where he played a key role in the team’s push for promotion. Versatile across attacking and midfield roles, he recorded over 20 goal contributions last season and is praised for his creativity, tactical awareness, and work rate.

I’m happy to be here and really excited to be a part of this club. All praise to Jesus, this has been a blessing to take another step in my journey as a footballer and I’m ready to take it on in this new environment,” Bekwayo said. “We have a difficult task ahead this half-season. As a club, we are pushing to overcome a rough patch, and we’re going to do everything in our power to finish the league in a good position. Right now our goal is to stay in this league and it’s going to take everyone. Personal goals can only shine when a team succeeds, so all of mine and the club’s focus are towards each other and the next game. We are ready to fight. Thank you to BE1 for this opportunity to grow on and off the pitch!

Another signing, 20-year-old Ampofo is known for his finishing instincts, speed, and high-energy style. The striker impressed at MEDIMAFO Football Academy, helping the club secure a place in the 2025–26 Ghana MTN FA Cup and emerging as one of the top scorers in Ghana’s third tier.

I’m really excited to be joining BE1,” Ampofo told Baltic Football News. “From the outside, it’s always been clear that this is a club with strong ambition, a winning mentality, and a great environment for growth. My first impression has been nothing but positive — the energy, the structure, and the professionalism really stand out. This half of the season, I believe we need to make a real impact. I’m expecting us to push hard, compete at the highest level, and build real momentum. Individually, my goals are simple: contribute as much as I can on and off the field, keep developing my game, and help the team achieve results. I’m ready to give 100% and make a difference.

Be1 are a club of the National Football Academy of Lithuania and are known for talent development. They currently compete in the second tier, having just missed out on promotion to A Lyga via play-offs last season.
