Banga Gargždai have confirmed that experienced Brazilian full-back Hugo Figueredo and Latvian forward Aivars Emsis will not remain with the club for the 2026 season.

Figueredo, 33, joined Banga in January 2025 from Hegelmann, where he had spent three seasons. During the 2025 campaign, the Brazilian defender made 28 appearances across all competitions and scored one goal.

The latest season marked Figueredo’s sixth year in Lithuanian football. Earlier, he represented FK Panevėžys between 2020 and 2021, and during the 2025 campaign he reached the milestone of 150 appearances in the Lithuanian A Lyga.

Latvian forward Aivars Emsis, 27, also joined Banga ahead of the previous season. The former Latvia Under-21 international featured in 34 matches across all competitions for the club, scoring five goals.

Before arriving in Gargždai, Emsis had already gained experience in Lithuanian football with FK Sūduva and DFK Dainava Alytus. He has also played in Italy’s Serie D, as well as in Latvia for FK Jelgava and FK Jūrmalas Spartaks.
