Olimpija Ljubljana secured their fourth Slovenian league title in style with a dominant 5-0 home win against Radomlje, powered by standout performances from two Baltic players — Estonia’s Alex Matthias Tamm and Lithuania’s Justas Lasickas.

The 23-year-old Estonian forward Alex Matthias Tamm scored the second goal in the match, helping to seal the championship for Olimpija. Tamm, who joined the club this winter after becoming the Premium Liiga top-goalscorer with Nomme Kalju FC, has been a key figure this season, netting six goals and assisting once in 12 league appearances.

Olimpija was close to clinching the title two weeks ago but suffered a setback with a 1-2 loss at home to their nearest rivals Maribor and followed that with a 1-1 draw against Mura. This made today’s win crucial to avoid a tense final day showdown. Marcel Ratnik opened the scoring early, with Tamm doubling the lead before halftime. Dino Kojic and Manuel Pedreno added late goals to complete the rout.

Adding to the Baltic success story, 27-year-old Lithuanian midfielder Justas Lasickas also played a significant role throughout the season. Lasickas started today’s match and contributed 76 minutes on the pitch. Over the course of 28 league games, he scored once and provided three assists, cementing his importance to become the two-time Slovenian league champion.

Founded in 2005, Olimpija had previously lifted the Slovenian championship in 2016, 2018, and 2023. This victory guarantees the club a spot in the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round.
