Latvian defensive midfielder Aleksejs Grjaznovs has signed with Serbian second-division club FK Dubočica Leskovac on a free transfer from FK Mladost GAT. The 27-year-old will strengthen Dubočica’s midfield as they fight to improve their standing in the Prva Liga.
Grjaznovs has had a well-traveled career, playing for multiple clubs across Latvia, Armenia, the Czech Republic, and Serbia.
He began his professional career at RTU before moving to Valmiera in 2019. After a brief stint there, he joined Albatroz/Jelgava in 2020 and quickly transferred to Noah Jurmala in early 2021. Later that year, he moved to the Czech Republic, signing for Sokol Brozany before switching to Slovan Velvary and then joining Armenian club FC Noah in early 2022.
In the summer of 2022, he returned to Latvia with FK Liepāja, where he played until March 2024. He then joined Super Nova for the latter half of the season before moving to Serbian club FK Mladost GAT in July 2024. Now, after just seven months, he has switched to FK Dubočica, where he will reunite with fellow Latvian Eduards Tīdenbergs.
Dubočica currently sits 14th in the Prva Liga with 18 points from 20 matches.
