FA Šiauliai manager Dainis Kazakevičs has been recognized as April’s TOPsport A Lyga Manager of the Month.
The 45-year-old Latvian coach led Šiauliai through an undefeated April in which his team was the only one in the A Lyga not to lose a game. They won three matches—defeating Banga 2-1, FK Žalgiris 2-0, and FC Džiugas Telšiai 1-0—while the other two games ended in draws against FK Riteriai and FK Sūduva.
Kazakevičs, who is in his first season with FA Šiauliai, previously managed the Latvian national team. After ten matches in charge, he has positioned the team in 5th place in the A Lyga table.
Previously, the Manager of the Month award for March went to Donatas Vencevičius, the manager of FK Sūduva.
