Paide Linnameeskond brought Pärnu Vaprus’ four-match unbeaten run to a halt with a narrow but deserved 2–1 victory at the Pärnu Rannastaadion, marking their third win in four matches under head coach Vladimir Vassiljev.

After an even opening stretch, Paide gradually took control, pinning the home side deep into their own half for long spells. Their pressure paid off in the 34th minute when Henrik Ojamaa headed home from nine meters after a pinpoint cross by Joseph Saliste — 0:1.

However, the lead was short-lived. Just four minutes later, Magnus Villota carried the ball forward and played it left to Sander Kapper, whose accurate low strike nestled inside the near post — 1:1.

Paide regained the lead moments before the halftime whistle. Following a VAR review, the referee awarded a penalty after Marko Lipp was judged to have impeded Sten Reinkort in the box. Robi Saarma calmly slotted the ball to the right as goalkeeper Ott Nõmm went the opposite way — 1:2.

Vaprus came out fighting in the second half, taking the initiative and creating several half-chances. Paide, meanwhile, threatened on the counter. Saarma thought he had scored again in the 60th minute, but his effort was ruled offside.

Drama unfolded in the 79th minute when Vaprus midfielder Henri Välja took a theatrical tumble in Paide’s penalty area and was shown a second yellow card for simulation, reducing the home side to ten men.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, Vaprus kept pushing. In the 81st minute, Virgo Vallik couldn’t quite connect cleanly with Matthias Limberg’s cross just outside the six-yard box. At the other end, substitute striker Pa Assan Corr missed a golden opportunity to seal the game, skying his effort over the bar.
