Premium Liiga team JK Narva Trans will be getting their stadium’s artificial turf refreshed, during which a FIFA Quality Pro standard pitch will be laid.

During the project, which is priced at €EUR 287 381.98 the current pitch will be removed, checked and insulation pipelines will be fixed, if needed. Cushioning will also be installed under the new pitch. The installation process will begin on the 5th of May and will end on around the 20th of the same month.

On JK Narva Trans’ wish, all of their home games will be played on Kalev-Fama, since their natural grass pitch at the Narva Kreenholm Stadium, does not meet the requirements to host Premium Liiga football. The final game on the “old” pitch will be played on the 3rd of May, when the border town club will host Tartu JK Tammeka. The two games played during the pitch installation, JK Narva Trans vs Pärnu JK Vaprus on the 11th of May, and an Esiliiga B (3rd tier) fixture between JK Narva Trans U21 and Maardu Linnameeskond on the 10th of May will be played at the Narva Football Hall. The first game on the new pitch will see Narva take on Harju JK Laagri on the 27th of May.

The artificial turf replacement work will be carried out by OÜ G-Floors. The renovation is financed by the European Union’s Cohesion and Internal Security Policy Fund (Just Transition Fond). In addition, the project is being supported by self-financing from the city of Narva and JK Narva Trans.
