
In the Polish Ekstraklasa today, Märten Kuusk came onto the field late in the game, contributing to GKS Katowice’s 3:1 victory against Puszcza.
The 29-year-old Estonian defender, who started in the team’s previous match, returned to the bench but was substituted in towards the end of the game when his team was trying to maintain a 2:1 lead. Just a few minutes after he entered, GKS Katowice scored an insurance goal to secure the three points and the win.
This season the Estonian international has made 20 appearances and provided two assists. Following this victory, Katowice climbed to 9th place in the league table, bringing their total to 39 points. Their next league match will be an away game against Slask Wroclaw next Saturday.
