In the Premium Liiga’s Matchday 6, Nomme Kalju delivered a strong performance against Harju JK Laagri, winning 3-0. Kalju scored three quick goals early in the match to secure the victory, while Paide Linnameeskond managed to hold on for a win against Parnu JK Vaprus, despite playing the entire second half with one player down.
Before this match, Kalju was on a two-game losing streak, having lost to FC Flora Tallinn and FCI Levadia. On the other hand, Harju was also struggling, remaining winless in their last two games.
Kalju effectively sealed the win within the first 16 minutes of the game. In the 4th minute, Nikita Ivanov headed the ball into the net following an excellent cross from Guilherme Smith. Five minutes later, Ivanov scored his second goal to make it 2-0. In the 16th minute, one of Kalju’s key players, Guilherme Smith, found the back of the net, scoring his second goal of the season and extending the lead to 3-0.
As a result of this victory, Kalju climbed to 5th place in the league table with seven points, while Harju, also with seven points, suffered from a significantly worse goal difference.
Kalju’s next match is on Saturday against FC Kuressaare, while Harju will host Paide Linnameeskond.
