Talented Estonian winger Dimitri Jepihhin scored for the second consecutive game, helping AS Trenčín secure a 1-0 victory against Komárno in the Slovakian top flight.
The 19-year-old Estonian previously scored his first goal for the club last week against Banská Bystrica, earning him a starting position for the second time this season since transferring from Paide Linnameeskond to Slovakia.
Jepihhin netted his second goal of the season and the match’s only goal in the 53rd minute, heading the ball past the defender and placing it in the bottom right corner of the net.
He was substituted in the 71st minute, and the score remained unchanged, allowing Trenčín to secure their second consecutive win.
With 29 points after 26 matches, Jepihhin’s team currently sits in 8th place in the league table. Their next match is scheduled for Saturday, where they will host Ružomberok.
