
Former Lithuanian national team forward Karolis Laukžemis is making a return to domestic football, joining Neptūnas’ side in Klaipėda, a club competing in Lithuania’s second division.
The 33-year-old striker brings a wealth of experience from both Lithuanian and international football. Laukžemis began his professional career with Atlantas before embarking on a journey that took him across multiple foreign leagues. Throughout his career, he played in Latvia, Poland, Croatia, Kazakhstan, and Greece, gaining valuable experience at various levels of competition.
Laukžemis has also been a part of the Lithuanian national team since 2018, representing his country on the international stage.
“After a successful career abroad, Karolis is returning to the seaside and joining Neptūnas. His experience and attacking skills are expected to strengthen the team’s ambitions in the fight for top positions. We are thrilled to welcome Karolis to Neptūnas and wish him success in this new chapter!” the club announced in a statement on Facebook.
Last season, Laukžemis played in Greece, where he wore the colors of Argos-based Panargiakos. Now, he is set to contribute his skills and leadership to his hometown club as they aim for success in the Lithuanian league.
