Estonian national team player Maksim Paskotši made his return to the starting lineup after a one-game absence in the Swiss Super League. His team, Grasshoppers, unfortunately suffered a 1-2 defeat against league leaders Basel.

The 22-year-old center back has made 21 appearances in the league this season. Paskotši played the entire match and received a yellow card, which will suspend him for the next league match because he has reached the limit of four yellow cards.

Basel took a two-goal lead in the first half. However, in the 70th minute, Grasshoppers pulled one back with a penalty kick, creating some nervous moments for the Swiss Super League leaders.

Following this defeat, Grasshoppers are now in 11th place in the league with 27 points from 30 games, just four points ahead of Winterthur, who are at the bottom of the table.

Grasshoppers’ next match will be on Sunday when they host FC Luzern, another title contender.
