Riga FC Women convincingly won the first ever Latvian Women’s Super Cup, defeating RFS Women 4-2 at the LNK Sporta Parks.
Riga FC Women continued their meteoric rise to the top of women’s football in Latvia as they convincingly won the first ever Latvian Women’s Super Cup against RFS Women at LNK Sporta Parks on the 14th March. The match saw RFS Women on the back foot throughout the 90 minutes as Riga FC Women already opened score on the 27th minute and were up 3-1 by the end of the first half.
Two American players, Elizabeth Hill (28′, 37′) and Alexxis Lipsey (45+1′, 58′) each scored twice for Riga FC Women, while Ukrainian Olesia Malinovska (29′, 87′) scored the two goals for their opponents.
Having won the domestic championship last season, Riga FC Women made a strong statement of their ambition to defend the title also in 2025.
