Latvian defender Kristers Oto Augusts has signed a long-term contract with SK Super Nova, the reigning Nākotnes Līga champions. The 19-year-old makes the move from JDFS Alberts, last season’s Nākotnes Līga runners-up, in what marks a major step in his career.
Born on May 8, 2005, Augusts is a JDFS Alberts academy product and had only represented the club in Latvia’s second division before this transfer. Over the years, he made 64 appearances for the team, proving himself as a solid and reliable defender.
Now, with a long-term deal at SK Super Nova, Augusts could make his Virslīga debut in just nine days, facing a tough challenge against Riga FC in the first round of Virslīga.
