Latvian football club FK Liepāja has announced the signing of Croatian striker Niko Domjanić, marking his first experience playing abroad.

The 22-year-old forward has been part of the NK Varaždin system since 2017, spending the last three seasons competing in the Croatian top division.

Domjanić’s playing time has been somewhat limited, as he mostly came off the bench. His most notable season was in 2022/23 when he managed to score three goals in the Croatian top flight. Additionally, he has one appearance for the Croatian U20 national team.

With Domjanić’s arrival, the competition for the center-forward position at FK Liepāja becomes even more intense. The club will kick off its Virslīga campaign on March 7th with a home match against FK Metta.
