Today, in the Slovakian top flight, Estonian midfielder Kevon Palumets made his official debut for his new club, Podbrezová. Meanwhile, Henri Anier scored a brace to help the Lee Man Warriors defeat Kowloon City in a Hong Kong Premier League match.

The 22-year-old midfielder joined the Slovakian side this winter after moving permanently from Belgian club Waregem. In the team’s first game back after the winter break, he was named in Podbrezová’s starting lineup against Michalovce. In the 13th minute, Palumets received a yellow card for a foul, but a few minutes later, his team scored the opening goal.

Toward the end of the half, Michalovce turned the game around by scoring two goals and taking the lead. That was it for Palumets in his debut game, as he was substituted at the start of the second half.

Podbrezová applied significant pressure in the second half, which paid off when the referee awarded a penalty in the added time. Kovacik converted the penalty, allowing Podbrezová to escape with a point from the match against their table rivals Michalovce.

Currently, Podbrezová sits in fifth place in the league table with 25 points after 19 games. With three games remaining before the teams are split into two groups, Podbrezová has a great chance to secure a spot in the Championship group.

Palumets will have his next opportunity to play for his new club next Saturday when they host Trenčín in a league match.

In the meantime, Henri Anier scored his first goal in 2025 while playing a full game for the Lee Man Warriors. The 34-year-old forward’s team was down 0-2 in the 62nd minute, but everything changed thanks to Anier’s efforts. They started their comeback in the 68th minute when Anier scored his first goal of the game and his fourth of the league season. Four minutes later, Lee Man Warriors equalized with a converted penalty kick. In the 74th minute, Anier completed the unexpected comeback by scoring his second goal, giving Lee Man Warriors a 3-2 lead.

The game ended with that score, and thanks to the victory, Lee Man Warriors moved up to third place in the league with 25 points, just four points behind leader Tai Po.
