DFK Dainava Alytus has announced two new signings that will strengthen the team. One of the players is former FK Liepāja right-back Cheikh Faye, and the other is Lithuanian attacking player Dominyk Kodz.
The 26-year-old Senegalese player Cheikh Faye spent the last year and a half with FK Liepāja. He joined the Latvian side from the Senegalese club Diambars, which saw five other players from the same club also transfer to FK Liepāja the same day.
Last season, Cheikh made 16 appearances for FK Liepāja in the Virslīga but did not contribute any goals. He was released by Liepāja just a few weeks ago and has now moved to the neighboring country of Lithuania.
The other signing, 24-year-old Dominyk Kodz, returns to Lithuania after spending half a year with the Polish lower-league club Concordia Elbląg.
Before moving to Poland, Dominyk played for several Lithuanian clubs, starting his career with FK Žalgiris and subsequently playing for FK Riteriai, FK TransINVEST, and Baltijos FA.
In total, the attacking player has made 28 appearances in the A Lyga, scoring one goal.
